Comment sought on air permit
PRESTON -- The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality seeks public comment on a proposed air quality permit to construct for Freedom Plastics Inc., in Preston. The public can submit written comments addressing air quality concerns of the proposed permit through 5 p.m. Dec. 19.

The permit will regulate emissions from the company's PVC pipe fittings manufacturing plant in Preston. The DEQ has determined that construction and operation according to the proposed permit will not cause or contribute to violation of any ambient air quality standard, and will not injure or unreasonably affect human or animal life or vegetation.

Submit written comments on the DEQ website at www.deq.idaho.gov/public/comment.cfm or by mail or e-mail to Faye Weber, Air Quality Division, DEQ State Office, 1410 N. Hilton, Boise, Idaho 83706, faye.weber@deq.idaho.gov.
