Tax cheat must pay $18,000
POCATELLO -- A local man was sentenced to five year's probation Monday for income tax evasion.
Albert P. Morrison, 44, granted Morrison's request for probation, saying he believed society would be better served by Morrison paying restitution. The state requested restitution in the amount of $18,2623, a sum which Morrison's attorney, Randy Schulthies did not contest. However, Schulthies asked for a hearing on restitution in order to nail down the exact sum and determine whether a 50 percent fraud penalty might be invoked. Nye ordered Morrison, who is seeking Social Security Disability benefits, to begin paying $50 per month pending the outcome of the restitution hearing.

To raise money and pay this back why not charge people $5 to give the Cheat a good swift kick in the butt with steel toed lumber jack stompers? Forgot - he's genuinely sorry. Probably going to find religion soon, too. " Submit a CommentCommenting RulesWe encourage your feedback and dialog. All comments are subject to deletion by our Web staff.
