Small Fire in Jail Contained
POCATELLO -- A portion of the Bannock County jail was evacuated Tuesday evening after cleaning rags caught fire in a clothes dryer.

Capt. V.M. Sanders reported that a possible chemical residue in the rags may have contributed to their flammability.

The Pocatello Fire Department responded and employed equipment to evacuate the smoke. Sanders reported the damage was confined to the dryer and all evacuated inmates were returned to their cells within one hour.
