Family Readiness Group concert

POCATELLO -- The "Support Your Troops" fundraiser to benefit the Family Readiness Group 1016th Quartermaster Company has been set for Sunday, Sept. 28 at the Benton Street Bar and Grill in Pocatello at 5 p.m.

There will be food and beverages, a raffle with items from local businesses and live music by local bands. The cost is a $5 donation.
The Family Readiness Group is an organization dedicated to the support of families of all armed service members. They provide services such as children's activities, monthly support meetings and holiday celebrations year round whether the family member is currently deployed or not.

"Any family with a member in armed services is welcome to come and we'll give them any support we can," said Kim Charlier, the Family Readiness Group Leader, "We create a group where they have resources during deployement and during peace time."
The fundraiser will feature live music by local bands AndeConda, Hatelocker, the Aaron Ball Band, Neckbrace, Plain Jane and Kaught Lookin.'

AndeConda consists of Richard Green, Jeff Beery, Ronny Moore, Chris Anderson and Brian Miera. The band formed in 1994 and, although the play mostly classic rock covers they are diverse and throw in some modern hits as well including songs by Finger Eleven and Three Doors Down.
Hatelocker is a three piece band consisting of Noel Thomas, Mike Hopkins and Ben Jensen. They have been together for about four years and perform original rock and metal songs.

Neckbrace is a hardcore band from Pocatello. Members are Nick Poppleton, Pat Moran, Dan Ditto and Dave Stevens.
Kaught Lookin' performs Southern and modern rock songs and is comprised of life long musicians. Members are Tony Roberts, who was formerly in the band Exit 69, Rick Veilleux, Mark "Claw" Clawson and Ed Horn, who is from Virginia.

The Aaron Ball Band is Jonathon Bownley, Mark Peck, Bobby Price, Ryker Murdock and Aaron Ball. Aaron and his brother Jake manage the Ball Brothers Music store in Pocatello. They play acoustic and alternative rock.
Plain Jane, a rock band based in Pocatello, is Maurice Ross, Richard Henry, Darwin Edwards, Frank True and Jeff Hammer. Hammer also performs in Rukkus. Although the band has been around for awhile, they disbanded for a bit and just recently got back together.
