BLACKFOOT — Brad Smith said a co-worker was selling a 1972 Oldsmobile Omega for $100 and all he could see was a great car to use in the Elks Demolition Derby at the Eastern Idaho State Fair.

“This is my first derby,” said Smith, 33, of Idaho Falls. “When I saw the car, I thought ‘you know, this needs to be a demolition derby car.’”
