Exceeding expectations
In a living room devoid of end tables and sharp corners, a 34-inch-tall, 20-pound boy with thin blond hair stumbled across the carpeted floor like a top losing its inertia.

He had bruises on his face and forehead from his frequent falls, and he sometimes clung to the cushy couch or the legs of people in the room to help himself stay upright, if only for a few more seconds.
