School of hard knocks
POCATELLO -- Caroline Faure's thesis two years ago was centered on Idaho football coaches' understanding of concussions and the impact they have on adolescents. Today, that thesis has turned into a program aimed at teaching all those involved in youth athletics the danger of concussions in children.

"Kid's brains are less developed and take longer to heal from a concussion," Faure said Saturday. "Studies show that kids can take up to 15 days to heal from a concussion while a college-age person can recover from the same injury in as little as three days."

" It's nice to see the little league is getting more expertise that our high school kids. Our school district has got rid of all of the trainers. The good news however is that administration keeps growing and growing.
Hopefully they have used some of the money saved from axing the trainers to keep a good law firm on retainer. "
