Mother dies after train collision
The train collision with a car on U.S. Highway 20 Friday afternoon has claimed the life of the mother who was driving the vehicle.

Tamara Stelzer, 30, died during the night at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. An emergency Caesarian section was performed on Stelzer, who was eight months pregnant.

The newborn child is reported to be stable.
Stelzer’s 11-year-old son died at the scene. A 3-year-old daughter has been flown to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. Her condition is unknown.

Madison County Sheriff Roy Klingler said the vehicle was crossing tracks near Archer on U.S. 20 when the southbound train struck the car and pushed it approximately 100 feet before the vehicle rolled down an embankment.
