Commission hears comments
BLACKFOOT - The Bingham County Planning and Zoning Commission held a second meeting Wednesday to consider a request for a special use permit for a second wind farm in the county.

The matter was continued following a public meeting May 28.

Western Energy of Utah requested a permit to erect 66 wind turbines on 5,000 acres in Cedar Creek in northern Bingham County. The property is owned by Ted and Shelley Thompson.
Administrator Melodie Halstead said the Planning and Zoning Commission cleared its calendar to hear public comment regarding the proposed wind farm.
