POCATELLO - The city of Pocatello has been recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association for excellence in financial reporting. Pocatello received the association's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the city's fiscal year 2006 comprehensive financial report.

Pocatello also was recognized for achievement in publishing a simplified version, called a ''popular report.''

This is the third year Pocatello has qualified for the GOFA Certificate of Achievement award.

Pocatello Chief Financial Officer Dave Swindell said the comprehensive report and the shorter version are available at www.pocatello.us.
