POCATELLO - The Open Space advisory committee has a vacancy for an immediate appointment. Application for membership is needed by Oct. 5.

This committee advises the mayor and city council on securing and maintaining open spaces to preserve habitat, protect the aquifer and provide undeveloped spaces for public use and recreation. The committee particularly is responsible for educating the public on the purpose of the committee's and city's efforts to identify, acquire and maintain open space for public benefit.

Meetings are the third Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
