Sagebrush Art Festival
The Sagebrush Arts Festival committee can hardly wait for the Sagebrush Arts Festival to begin! With all the wonderful local and out of town artists signed up, the Festival promises to be an extraordinary experience for all who attend. The Arts Festival will take place on the grassy area of ISU on the corner of 5th and East Carter streets Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

The Children's Art Yard chaired by Pat McNamara, is a very popular booth for the children who attend our Festival. Pat, along with her many art students and adult supervisors will have many hands on crafts for children 3 to 14 to create. Last year, Pat had over 400 children sign up for her booth. She is looking for even more children to teach this year. Times for the art yard are the same as the festival's hours.

Jan Stanek who heads up the vendors coming to the Festival, is very pleased with this years vendor turnout. The vendors attending are: The Boy Scout troop No. 315 with their famous hot dogs, brats, and cold drinks. Jitterbug Express will feature espresso, late's, mocha's, capachino's, flavored hot and cold drinks, and Italian sodas. Hyde's Hanson Ice will feature shaved ice, nachos, pretzels and cotton candy. Popcorn Shop & More will deliver numerous flavored popcorn for you to enjoy. Stacy's LaChu's Ice Cream which features the famous "Blue Bunny" ice cream, will be selling individually wrapped treats. There will also be a "bobbing for apples" booth, which will feature Honey Crisp fresh apples and guaranteed lots of fun.
The Information Booth, which is headed up by Jeannie Hand is in charge of directing the attending artists to locate their assigned booth spaces, and any information or questions that the artists or public will have. Look for the white tent at the entrance to the Festival for all your questions to be answered with friendly courtesy.

Peggy Anderson, who is always in demand for her flawless and artistic displays of her early morning treats, heads up our attractive and very popular Hospitality Tent extending to all the artists that have been enrolled at the Art Festival her attractive and appealing goodies. The Hospitality Tent closes at 10 a.m., but returns bright and early on Sunday to repeat her excellent endeavors.
Once again, Barbara Santos our very capable, and competent volunteer, heads up the Application committee. All of the "bookkeeping" for the Sagebrush Arts Festival from A to Z has been handled completely by Barbara. Being in charge of keeping track of all the artists, from the time that the artists apply to the Festival to the final completed forms that have to be dealt with, Barbara does her job with speed and accuracy.

Karen Vargason heads up Site Manager position. She is in charge of making sure that all the artists and public patrons have a carefree and comfortable time while enjoying the Sagebrush festivities. Making sure that all the artists tents spaces are arranged just so, to directing the spaces for the vendors. Karen and her dog Sadie, can be seen throughout the festival making sure everyone that is having a fun and relaxing time. She jokingly remarks that she is in charge of the "tents and potties".
Carolyn Purnell, the Chairman of the Sagebrush Arts Festival has her hands full with keeping all of the Sagebrush committees in line. Carolyn's eye for detail can be seen throughout the Sagebrush Arts Festival. Along with her Chairmanship position, she has also taken on the Entertainment committee position.
