Poky student suspended
POCATELLO — District 25 officials said today that they suspended a third-grade student for bringing a pellet gun to school.

The gun was spotted by a school bus driver, who saw the weapon sticking out of the student's backpack.

District 25 officials said they do not believe the student was planning to hurt anyone with the weapon. But they said he was suspended because he violated district policy by taking the weapon to school.
The district's discipline committee will determine in the near future how long the student remains suspended.
