Gubernatorial candidate pays visit to Pocatello businesses
POCATELLO - Gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brady toured the Gate City Wednesday, making stops at Health West, Bannock Development Corp., Portneuf Medical Center and the Revive @ Five party.

While at PMC, Chief Operating Officer Cal Nothern updated the Democrat from Idaho Falls on the hospital's continuing expansion project.

Nothern said the hospital is currently clearing ground for a 500-car parking structure and an 80,000-square-foot medical office. Soil moved for the new facilities will be used for developing the campus elsewhere.
“We're moving along. We're not too far behind schedule,” Nothern said.

Dr. Ben Call, chief of the PMC medical staff, told Brady how recent improvements in technology at the hospital, especially at the new Heart Center, have saved lives and expanded the hospital's customer base.
